Apex Electrical has an ongoing relationship with the Austin Hospital and have completed many projects with them.

These projects include:

• Ludwig Cancer Research offices and reception
• Nuclear Medicine offices
• Reception and communications room
• Position Emission Tomography Infusion rooms
• Medi-Hotel facility for cancer patients
• Pharmacy Department.

In the Position Emission Tomography Infusion rooms are included body protected areas and lead lined rooms for patient infusions prior to scanning. The Medi-Hotel has 14 bedrooms, each one with separate power switching that ensures all power is off when someone leaves the room, a communal TV area, fully fitted kitchen and reception area.

Our current work at the hospital involves upgrades to the Radiology Department, including offices, waiting rooms, receptions, conference rooms and a new MRI unit. All have mains supplies, new switchboards fitted for separate isolation of MRI, mechanical services and general light and power. Most areas also require data, phone, PA, security, fire and nurse call systems. We have also fitted audio packages into the conference rooms and theatres.
